A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Kokand University and representatives of Lund University. The Memorandum was signed on behalf of Kokand University by Iskandar Yuldashev, Director of Strategy and Planning.

The cooperation framework provides for the implementation of joint research activities, academic exchange, mobility programmes for faculty members and researchers, joint international projects, as well as academic and scientific events.

Furthermore, an agreement was reached for Kokand University to participate as an official partner in the international research project MARS — “Non-Western Migration Regimes in a Global Perspective”, which is being implemented under the coordination of Lund University.
