A departmental discussion was held on the dissertation of independent researcher of Kokand University, Melikuziev Umarjon Urmonjonovich, entitled “The Artistic Features of the Lyrics of Mirzo Khayrullo Khojandiy,” which is devoted to the life and works of one of the prominent representatives of the early 20th-century Kokand literary environment — the poet, translator, playwright, and skilled educator Mirzo Khokandiy.

The dissertation provides a comprehensive analysis of the poet’s творчество and defines the place of Mirzo Khokandiy in Uzbek literature, particularly within the Kokand literary milieu.
