At Kokand University, awareness-raising activities are ongoing in connection with the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 3, 2026, No. PF–33, titled “On additional organizational and legal measures to strengthen the protection of women and children’s rights and to prevent harassment and violence against them.”

The next meeting was attended by Jamila Axmedova, Head of the Regional Center for Rehabilitation and Adaptation of Women, Nigora Ergasheva, Deputy Mayor of Kokand city, as well as members of the Advisory Council on Women’s Issues of Kokand University.

During the event, detailed recommendations were provided on preventing early marriages, combating harassment and violence against women, and strengthening the family institution. Particular attention was given to protecting women’s rights and interests, as well as to their comprehensive support.

Participants also exchanged views on ongoing work in this field, existing challenges, and possible solutions.
