Cooperation Between Kokand University and Lanzhou University Strengthens

In July 2025, a significant meeting took place at Lanzhou University with the participation of a delegation from Kokand University. During the meeting, Dr. Gang Chi, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office at Lanzhou University, Ms. Wang Shan, Coordinator of the Summer School, and representatives of Kokand University discussed issues of mutual cooperation.

During the discussions, future directions for bilateral collaboration were defined. Specifically, it was agreed that every year, professors and talented students from Kokand University will participate in the international summer school held at Lanzhou University. The sides also agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to further expand cooperation. This document will serve to enhance continuous academic exchange and scientific projects between the two universities.

In addition, Professor Massimiliano Zattini, Vice-President of the University of Padua, Italy, gave an interesting and valuable lecture on "Management and Effective Use of Underground Resources" to the professors and lecturers of Kokand University.

This visit and the meetings are aimed at strengthening ties in the international education field, fostering innovation exchange, and opening new opportunities for students and professors.
