In honor of the 60th anniversary of the birth of the renowned literary scholar, translator, and professor Ergash Ochilov, a national scientific-theoretical conference titled “Current Issues in Philology” was held.

The conference was organized in cooperation with the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, Khujand State University named after Bobojon Gafurov of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bukhara State University, and Kokand University.

During the event, the faculty members of Kokand University delivered academic presentations and put forward their scientific proposals regarding literary studies, translation studies, and the development of modern Uzbek literature.

The active participation of Kokand University in the conference played a significant role in strengthening scientific cooperation, supporting the potential of young researchers, and promoting advanced ideas in the field of literature.
