At Kokand University, a reading competition titled “In the Footsteps of Jadids” was organized to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-9 dated January 15, 2026, as well as to promote enlightenment and reading culture among youth based on the legacy of the Jadids.

During the competition, students tested their knowledge by answering questions related to the life and works of Jadid enlighteners and reading culture.

The competition was held at a high level among students of the “Philology and Language Teaching: Uzbek Language” program. Participants actively demonstrated their knowledge of Jadid literature, representatives of the national awakening period, and reading culture.

According to the results, the winners were:

🥈 2nd place — Sarvinoz Jurayeva (Group 5/25)
🥉 3rd place — Hanifa Madaminova (Group 9/25)
