From March 25 to 27 of the current year, opening meetings of the international project GreenCamUz — “Green Campus Initiative: Integrating Sustainability into Higher Education in Uzbekistan,” implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE program and coordinated by Kokand University, are scheduled to be held at three higher education institutions in the city of Tashkent.

In preparation for these events, representatives of the project from Kokand University had arrived in Tashkent in advance. Today marks the first opening day of the project events and presentation sessions at Tashkent International University.

The event is actively attended by Kokand University representatives — U. Mamadaliyev, Z. Isakova, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs J. Kambarov.

During the opening part of the event, representatives of partner organizations delivered speeches highlighting the policies being implemented in the country regarding environmental protection, urban greening, and ensuring ecological sustainability, as well as outlining key initiatives in this area.

In addition, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Kokand University, J. Kambarov, delivered a speech expressing sincere gratitude to local and international guests, as well as to the host university, on behalf of Kokand University. In his remarks, he briefly addressed the project’s content, its relevance, and the importance of integrating sustainable development principles into the higher education system.

Furthermore, the Head of the International Relations Department of Kokand University and project coordinator, U. Mamadaliyev, provided detailed information to local and international participants about the overall concept of the GreenCamUz project, its main objectives, and expected outcomes.
