Organization of Turkic States - Union of Turkish Universities.

The Turkic Council - the Union of Turkic-language universities was established in order to implement cooperation in the field of higher education among the member states of the Turkic Council. It was first adopted at the meeting of education ministers held in Cholponota on August 10, 2012, and then at the second summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking Countries held in Bishkek on August 22-23, 2012. and finally, on March 28-29, 2013, Directive decisions on the establishment of the Higher Education Region among the member universities of the Union were adopted in Istanbul.
