A conference on the topic “Challenges and Solutions for Transforming the Tepaqo‘rg‘on Archaeological Site into an Open-Air Museum” was held at Kokand University.

The conference was inaugurated by G‘afurjon Zaxidov Erkinovich, Director of Kokand University. The event also featured the participation of key figures, including Khurshidjon Rustamovich Akhmedov, Deputy Governor of Fergana Region for Tourism, Sports, Culture, Cultural Heritage, and Mass Communication; Ma’rufjon Usmonov Azamovich, Mayor of Kokand City; Akmal Nur, Head of the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and academician; Akbar Abdullayevich Hakimov, academician of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Arts; and Rasuljon Mirzaahmedov, Chairman of the National Crafts Association.

 They shared their proposals and opinions on the issues being discussed. Additionally, representatives from the Kokand Museum-Reserve, the National Archaeological Center, the Cultural Heritage Agency of Uzbekistan, the History Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the National University of Uzbekistan, as well as historians, archaeologists, and tourism professionals from Kokand University participated in the conference. The discussions focused on implementing the directives issued by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan during his visit to Fergana Region regarding the transformation of the Tepaqo‘rg‘on archaeological site into an open-air museum. Experts exchanged views on leveraging advanced practices to achieve this goal.
