The ceremonial opening of the 25th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization took place in Samarkand

Around the world today, the importance of the tourism industry and its development is gaining significant attention. Ergo, various initiatives and events are being carried out. The forum that recently commenced in Samarqand is a prime example of these efforts. 

️Representatives from more than 140 countries, under the auspices of the Global Tourism Organization, are participating in this event, which will continue until October 20th. This event is another example of the steps taken by the leader of our country towards developing the sphere in Uzbekistan.

Zaxidov Gafurjon Erkinovich, the director of Kokand University is now among the attendees of this event that is taking place in Samarkand. 

It is worth mentioning that, to this day, our university has actively participated in practical projects aimed at the development of tourism. It is our common goal to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application for our students studying in the field of tourism.
