Zahidov Gafurjon Erkinovich, vice-rector for academic affairs of Kokan University, was appointed acting rector of Kokan University.

He worked at the Effective Economy Policy Center under the Ministry of Macroeconomics and Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Alleviation of the Republic of Uzbekistan) and the Social and Economic Research Centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Worked in responsible positions at the Faculty of Economics, International Business, Master's Department and Department of Macroeconomics of Tashkent State University of Economics.

He worked in the positions of the head of the Educational Methodology Department of TDIU, the first vice-rector for educational affairs.

He is the author of more than 60 scientific works.
