Waste management
The waste management system at Kokand University’s campus is an important component of its environmental sustainability policy. The main goal of this initiative is to reduce the amount of waste generated, ensure proper sorting, recycling, and reuse in order to minimize the negative impact on the environment.
Special containers for separate waste collection — including plastic, paper, organic, and other materials — have been installed throughout the university campus. In addition, awareness campaigns are carried out among students and staff to promote responsible waste management practices.
Resources obtained from waste recycling, such as paper and plastic materials, are reused for campus maintenance needs. This not only helps to reduce the overall volume of waste but also increases economic efficiency.
Kokand University aims to gradually implement the “zero waste” concept, reduce paper consumption through digital documentation, and expand the use of renewable resources in its operations.
