For students, faculty members, and researchers of Kokand University, international grants and joint projects offer vast opportunities — studying and internships abroad, research funding, joint courses and laboratories, international conferences, and startups.

1) Erasmus+ KA171 (Academic Mobility)

What it offers: student exchange for up to one semester; staff (academic/administrative) mobility for 5–30 days; scholarships and travel cost coverage.
Who can apply: bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students; faculty members and administrative staff.
Activities: study, teaching, training/internship.
Application procedure: internal selection → nomination → host university requirements.
Deadlines: annual calls (updated).
Selection criteria: academic performance, language proficiency (usually IELTS 6.0), motivation, and program relevance.

2) Erasmus+ CBHE (Capacity Building in Higher Education)

What it offers: inter-university joint projects (modernization of curricula, establishment of laboratories, ICT implementation).
Who can apply: faculties, departments, and project teams.
Activities: work packages (WPs), trainings, methodological materials, equipment purchase.
Funding: 2–3 years, depending on project scale.
Deadlines: annual calls (updated).
Note: the consortium must include universities from EU and partner countries.

3) Erasmus Mundus (EMJM/EMDM)

What it offers: joint master’s programs with full scholarships.
Who can apply: master’s degree candidates; faculties as partner institutions.
Activities: joint curriculum development, double/joint degree programs.
Deadlines: annual calls (student intake windows updated yearly).

4) DAAD (Germany)

What it offers: individual scholarships (for students, master’s, and PhD levels), research grants, and academic exchange for professors.
Who can apply: students, young researchers, professors.
Requirements: knowledge of German or English; invitation from a host institution (for some programs).
Deadlines: vary depending on the program (annually).

5) Orhun Exchange Program

What it offers: academic exchange among more than 110 universities in Turkic countries (Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan). Provides the opportunity to study or teach for up to one semester, with partial or full coverage of accommodation and travel expenses.
Who can apply: undergraduate and graduate students, as well as academic staff.
Activities: studying, teaching, cultural exchange, and joint events.
Deadlines: announced once a year (applications usually open in April–May).

6) Summer Schools and Internships

What it offers: 1–4 week educational and cultural programs, credit transfer options, or summer internships. During the 90-day summer break, students can complete internships related to their field or another discipline, travel, make new friends, and earn income.
Who can apply: bachelor’s and master’s students.
Requirements: language proficiency, discipline.
Funding: grant / partial grant / self-funded (contract).
