A NEW UNIFIED PROCEDURE FOR INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY AND EXCHANGE HAS BEEN INTRODUCED AT KOKAND UNIVERSITY

Dear professors and teaching staff, employees, researchers, and students of Kokand University!

The “Regulations on Academic Mobility” have been adopted at Kokand University. The Regulations have been approved by the University Council, establish a unified procedure for international exchange and academic mobility, and are mandatory for the relevant units and participants.

Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, the participation of students, teaching staff, researchers, and employees in academic mobility, international exchange, professional development, internships, research and projects, international conferences and scientific events, summer/winter schools, joint educational programs, and other international activities will be carried out in accordance with unified rules and requirements.

Candidate selection is conducted using a 100-point system based on established criteria.

HOW ARE CANDIDATES ASSESSED?

 

Note 1: In some cases, additional requirements may be stipulated in accordance with the mutual terms of a grant or exchange agreement. Fulfillment of additional conditions is a primary obligation and is not included in the point-based system.

Note 2: Trips are financed in four ways: through a grant, by the university, from personal funds, or through mixed financing. A committee may be established to make an internal financing decision.

MASTER’S STUDENTS — 100 POINTS

HOW IS THE INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY PROCESS CARRIED OUT?

 

1. An announcement is published; the applicant receives detailed information on Kokand University’s International Cooperation announcements page.

2. The application and required documents are submitted in accordance with the announcement.

3. The International Cooperation Department conducts a preliminary review of the documents.

4. A special committee is established by order; it evaluates candidates and conducts interviews, with the results confirmed by minutes.

5. Final results (ranking) are announced.

6. Documents are forwarded to the next stage, and the partner institution makes the final decision.

7. The relevant official order is formalized.

8. Preparations for the trip are carried out.

9. International academic mobility is undertaken.

10. Monitoring is conducted.

11. A seminar is held at Kokand University and a final report is prepared.

12. The experience gained is integrated into university activities.
