Philology and language teaching is a program aimed at training philologists with in-depth knowledge in the fields of language, literature, translation, pedagogy and intercultural communication. In the learning process, students will learn such elements as linguistics, literature studies, speaking, reading and writing, grammar and phonetics, country studies, translation theory and practice, text studies, source studies, comparative linguistics, pedagogy, psychology and language teaching methods. In addition to the main language, the curriculum also focuses on the study of a second foreign language, the use of modern information and pedagogical technologies, as well as research activities. graduates have the competence to analyze the phonetic, lexical, grammatical and methodological features of the studied language, the correct organization of oral and written speech, the interpretation of literary and scientific texts, preparation of teaching materials, conducting classes using modern educational technologies and translating in different directions. They also develop linguistic, socio-linguistic, discursive, strategic, socio-cultural and communicative competencies. Graduates may work as teachers in preschool, general secondary, professional and non-governmental educational organizations, translators in state and international organizations, correspondent or editor in the media, writer and literary worker in publishing houses, guide-translator in tourism organizations, manager and researcher in research institutions. Professional activities include teaching, translation, organizational and management, publishing, editing, research and consulting.
