International Grants and Joint Projects

International grants and joint projects create wide opportunities for Kokand University students, faculty, and researchers: studying and internships abroad, research funding, joint courses and laboratories, international conferences and startups.

Our Mission

  • Organizing internal selection and recommendations
  • Building project consortiums and negotiations with partners
  • Administrative and financial monitoring of won projects

Available Programs

What it offers:

Student exchange up to 1 semester, staff (teaching/administrative) mobility 5-30 days; scholarship, travel expenses covered.

For whom:

Bachelor/Master/PhD students; faculty and staff.

Types of activities:

Studying, teaching, training/internship.

Application procedure:

Internal selection → candidate recommendation → host university requirements.

Deadlines:

Annual calls (updated).

Selection criteria:

Academic performance, language proficiency (usually IELTS 6.0), motivation, compatibility.

What it offers:

Inter-university joint projects (curriculum modernization, laboratories, ICT implementation).

For whom:

Faculties, departments, project teams.

Types of activities:

Work plans by WP (work-package), trainings, methodological guides, equipment procurement.

Funding:

2-3 years, budget depends on project scope.

Deadlines:

Annual call (updated).

Note: Consortium must include universities from Europe and partner countries.

What it offers:

Joint master's programs; full scholarships.

For whom:

Master's candidates; faculties as partner institutions.

Types of activities:

Joint curriculum, dual degree (joint/double).

Deadlines:

Annual calls (admission windows for students are updated).

What it offers:

Individual scholarships (students/masters/PhD), research grants, teacher exchange.

For whom:

Students, young scientists, professors.

Requirements:

German/English language, invitation from host institution (in some programs).

Deadlines:

Varies by program (annual).

What it offers:

Student and faculty exchange between more than 110 universities in Turkic countries (Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan). Opportunity to study or teach for up to 1 semester, partial or full coverage of accommodation and travel expenses.

For whom:

Bachelor and master students, as well as faculty.

Types of activities:

Studying, teaching, cultural exchange and joint events.

Deadlines:

Announced once a year (usually application period in April-May).

What it offers:

1-4 week educational and cultural programs, credit transfer opportunity, or summer internships where students can travel, make new friends, and earn money during the 90-day summer vacation.

For whom:

Bachelor/Master students.

Requirements:

Language level, discipline.

Funding:

Grant/semi-grant/contract.
